Fishing Expedition 2026

September 18 – 25, 2026

We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat!

We’re so excited about this year’s fishing trip. From 20 lb. salmon and halibut to oysters and crabs, you’ll experience the best seafood the Northwest has to offer. Before the adventure begins, we wanted to share a few items with you. But first, check out some hightlights from last year:

You’ll want to purchase your fishing licenses online prior to the trip.

·         Go to https://myodfw.com/fishing/licensing-info   >> or scan the QR code to the right >>

o    Click on the green Buy a License tab on the top right

o    Either log in or create a new account

o    Click on Purchase from the Catalogue

o    You’ll need to get the Two-Day Angling ($42.00)

o    Columbia River Basin Endorsement ($1.00 per day – it will pop up when you go to your cart to pay for your license).

Scan to purchase your fishing liscence.

Plan on Dressing in Layers.

The Astoria temperature will average from the mid 60’s during the day and around 50 in the morning and at night.  At this point the long-range forecast calls temps in the upper 60s during the day, which is subject to change at a moment’s notice!

  • Thermal undershirt and pants (just in case)
  • Long sleeve shirts
  • Light wind proof coat or jacket.
  • Jeans
  • Polar-Fleece type pullovers
  • Raingear pants & jacket if you have them. The seats will be damp in the morning and raingear will help protect you from boat spray if we have to make longer runs.
  • 2 pair of shoes or Sneakers (1 pair for the boat that may get wet and 1 pair for dry land) – I normally wear Croc’s in the boat and sandals or sneakers for going out.
  • Ball cap and sunglasses.

If you have a Beck cooler from previous years, remember to bring it this year! We’ll send you home with a sample of all the fresh caught fish and crab.

Ahead of your arrival, please tell us about any food allergies along with food and beverage preference with by filling out this quick survey:
