COVID-19 – Beck Flavors Update

May 29, 2020 – We’re back!

Dear Customers and Partners,

WE ARE BACK! As of today, all employee’s in St. Louis are back in the office full time. With this, we are still ensuring the safety of all employees at all times.

  • We will continue to utilize Zoom for meetings over 5 people.
  • Upon arrival at Beck in the morning, every employee’s temperature will be taken. 
  • All current facility cleaning protocols will stay in place, this is to ensure our facility stays as clean and virus free as possible. 
  • All Beck employees have had a COVID-19 test done.
  • All new Beck employees are required to have a COVID-19 test done.
  • All employees will remain in their respective areas during work hours.
  • No visitors are allowed at the 212 Millwell facility for the foreseeable future.

May 18, 2020 – STL Employee’s Return to 212 Millwell

Dear Customers and Partners,

Today is an exciting day as all of our Beckster’s are able to come back into the office. In preparation for this day we have taken on enhanced procedures:

  • All St. Louis employees have returned to 212 Millwell.
  • Our R&D team will work smaller split shifts as follows:
    • 4 Lab employees from 6:00 am – 12:00 pm
    • 3 Lab employees from 12:30 pm – 6:30 pm
  • We will continue to utilize Zoom for meetings over 5 people.
  • Upon arrival at Beck in the morning, every employee’s temperature will be taken.
  • All current facility cleaning protocols will stay in place, this is to ensure our facility stays as clean and virus free as possible. All Beck employees have had a COVID-19 test done and this past weekend we had a hospital grade sterilization of our facility.
  • All employees will remain in their respective areas during work hours.
  • No visitors are allowed at the 212 Millwell facility for the foreseeable future.

April 16, 2020Raw Materials Update

Dear Customers and Partners,

Beck Flavors wants to provide you an update on the sourcing of our raw material goods. Due to the global coronavirus outbreak, we are experiencing longer lead times with some of our vendors and suppliers, which can sometimes double the time that it is taking Beck to receive our raw materials. With some of our vendors increasing their lead times, Beck commits to keeping open communication with you, our customers to inform them if your orders will be affected. While our current lead time is 3-weeks on orders, we could start to see adjustments that need to be made based on increasing lead times in our supply chain. We will continue to keep communication open on this matter. Our focus always remains on getting our customers your orders on time. April 14, 2020Cleaning & Visitor Update

Dear Customers and Partners,

Beck Flavors is monitoring this rapidly evolving situation and continues to follow the CDC guidelines. When an employee enters the facility at the beginning of the day their temperature is checked and documented. If an employee has a fever over 100.4, they are sent home and cannot come back to work until they have a doctor’s note that clears them. Employees continue to maintain a 6’ distance while in our facility. Currently, our R&D team is on a rotating schedule to assist the Quality Assurance team and answer any production questions. Our operations are continuing uninterrupted and production will continue to process all orders. At this time, we do not anticipate any disruption.

Within the Beck Flavors facility, we continue to maintain the following procedures;

  • High traffic areas are constantly being cleaned.
  • If a door is opened the door handle is wiped down with a Clorox or Lysol wipe.
  • All common areas are wiped down on the daily – tables, remotes, computer equipment, etc.
  • Lab doors are propped open to avoid people touching door handles.
  • At this time, we are still not accepting outside visitors. This includes family, vendors, solicitors, etc.

March 19, 2020COVID-19 Update

Dear Customers and Partners,

There has been an increase in the documented cases of Covid-19 in the Saint Louis metropolitan area. It is out of an abundance of caution that Beck Flavors put a shelter in place order out to most of our employees yesterday evening. This was done in the hopes of stopping the spread of the Covid-19 virus and to keep our employees safe during this pandemic.

Our production teams, production management, shipping and receiving, regulatory and our QA teams are working at our facility still to continue the flow of orders going out of our facility. This will continue until such time that the government mandates we close that facility, someone in that group tests positive for Covid-19 or until management decides that it is unsafe for us to continue to operate that facility.

Additionally, our R&D lab is shut down for now. Unfortunately, that means that no R&D samples can go out at this time.
